a. L1 Specifications – (Level 1 Specifications)
i. The Power, Speed and Area of the IP are optimally targeted.
ii. All the requirement definitions are noted in the L1 Specifications.
b. L2 Specifications – (Level 2 Specifications)
i. The L1 Specifications are broken into Architectural Block diagrams.
ii. The interaction protocols for the Architectural Block diagrams are specified.
c. L3 Specifications – (Level 3 Specifications)
i. The L3 Specifications details the micro architecture of each of the L1 modules.
ii. The L3 spec has memory map and register details.
iii. With these micro-architecture details the RTL coding begins.
